  This document was submitted to the IETF in 1996 and 1998, with the purpose of allowing the use of fast stream ciphers as ESP transforms. It has not been accepted as an RFC for non-technical reasons. Concept and algorithms might still prove useful to the interested reader...

  This was an internal working document that describes the 'Redundant Distributed File System'. Its concepts have some similarity to those of Coda, albeit with a stronger emphasis on security and access control. The document never got in a publishable state. I recommend you pursue Coda, if you are interested in this domain.

  Look at the 'Projects' page for more info on GenIO. This paper was part of a deliverable to a research project of the European Community. I don't know how to reference those deliverables (or wether they are available to the public at all), so I include it here. It describes design decisions for the original GenIO package, exemplifies some features, and explains how to use it.
